Giving Back · Volunteerism
Behind the Scenes of a Real Fashion Show
As one of the ways they give back to the community, our students volunteered backstage at a fashion show. They provided hair, makeup and styling for the runway, held their composure through the pressure of a live show, and were highlighted on stage as models and representatives of the backstage team, a real-world showcase of the skills and confidence built at the Summer Beauty & Leadership Camp.

Community Service
Giving Back to the Community
We encourage our students to give back through community events. Doing hair and makeup, modelling and volunteering, they grow confident in their new skills and in themselves, seeing their own beauty and walking the runway to showcase their individuality.

Graduation and Awards: Everyone Leaves a Winner
Every camp ends the same way: a graduation celebration in front of family, friends and the whole community. Each participant receives a certificate of completion and takes the stage to present the work they created during the program. Students who choose to compete showcase their new skills in a beauty competition for a chance to win an award to take home that evening and share with their school and community.
Behind the scenes, professional judges from the beauty and fashion industry, including salon owners, fashion retailers and working models, review every student's work and give each one personal feedback. So every participant leaves a winner, knowing exactly what they do well and where to grow next.
Graduation is a beginning, not an ending. Students are encouraged to keep their skills going by building an online portfolio and social media presence, taking leadership roles in their schools through fundraisers and community initiatives, and collaborating with industry leaders and educators. Government representatives are warmly invited to attend the graduation to witness the impact first-hand.

Youth Skills & Employment Pathway
From Learning to Earning
More than training: a pathway into real work, leadership and entrepreneurship.
The camp is a beginning, not an ending. Participants are mentored throughout the program, and graduates step into leadership: first self-leadership, then leading the new participant groups that arrive each year, passing on what they learned while growing their own confidence.
Through the salon experience, students become part of a real work environment. Those in the entrepreneurship track learn how a shop runs properly, including teamwork, service and how to create opportunity, so they can one day run their own shop, leading with love, compassion, patience and confidence.
As within the Kingdom of Kush, we work as a community and go together as a unit. That is why the pathway offers more than skills: it offers employment opportunity and placement, so graduates earn, contribute and help shape the generations to come.
